Check in 3pm + Check out 11am

Grunberg Haus is our super rad, 11 room eclectic Austrian chalet open all year!

It's quintessential Vermont along with our eclectic interests and active lifestyle! We offer a warm relaxing ambience in a fun social setting.

There are lots of cozy common areas to lounge in or have an adventure on our 10 acres and surrounding forest!

The structure was built from imagination in 1972, though it appears much older.

Grunberg Haus is an inn, a bed & breakfast (B&B), a micro boutique hotel...all of the the above.

It's creaky with thin walls, angulating stairs and interesting architectural accents at every step.

You must be able to handle steps if you book a stay at Grunberg Haus.

We're in the Green Mountains of Vermont nestled on a private road off scenic RT100, mid-way between

Stowe and Sugarbush, Montpelier, Burlington and Lake Champlain.

We're very excited with our on-going progress and love sharing our inn with the world! Fun loving human and dog travelers need only apply.

No curmudgeons please.

DUANE + LEAH

We purchased Grunberg Haus July 2016, and have been transforming it into our dream inn ever since. We love rock n'roll culture, everything vintage, and all active sports on boards and wheels! Duane's a native of south Jersey (near Cape May), but prefers surfing the snow in Vermont. Duane's love for Vermont began as just a lil guy at his familie's homes in Sugarbush and Rochester, VT. Leah's a native of TEXAS, a 10-year San Francisco bay resident, and now taking advantage of the good life Vermont offers. Duane introduced Leah to Vermont's goodness in all seasons and that was it. This is where we had to be and become innkeepers like the Newharts! We enjoy inspiring open minded, life loving people, they're our favorite guests!

NEKO + JUNE

We're a dog friendly inn. Neko is our 100lb Alaskan Malamute and June is our lil mini Dachshund, they are big part of Grunberg's heart & soul. Neko is a natural-born innkeeper and extremely sweet and gentle with people and dogs of all sizes. You and your dog must be comfortable with the presence of Neko, June and other guest's dogs.
